Prague, 18 March 2023 - Following the ongoing public debate about the work of TV Markiza's newsroom and its management, the CME Editorial Board carried out an on-site review. CME Editorial Board members, renowned journalists Hans Mahr of Austria and Roby Burke from the US have concluded that TV Markiza complies with all standards of ethical and professional journalism and adheres to the principles of objectivity, impartiality and factual accuracy.

"CME is firmly committed to top journalism standards across all markets where it operates," says CME Editorial Board member Hans Mahr. "Moreover, we have concluded that TV Markiza achieves above the average in meeting such standards."

Hans Mahr also said he would return to TV Markiza shortly and continue the dialogue with the newsroom staff. He also assured that the Editorial Board would monitor the objectivity and impartiality of TV Markíza's news coverage very closely and ensure that the television station would not become a vehicle for the agenda of any political influence.
